The roots of Weyergans reach back to the early 1980s. During his sociology studies at RWTH Aachen University, Rudolf Weyergans developed the first mechanical lymphatic drainage at the students' regulars' table – known worldwide as the Slide Styler®. Shortly afterwards, together with his wife, the biologist Dr. Käthe Kreft Weyergans, he created the Styler Cream for self-drainage: the first product in a long line of innovative developments. At the end of the 1980s came the development of the first digital electrotherapy device, Octopuss, as well as the groundbreaking method for targeted tissue firming for cellulite: the SPM method. In 1991 the company officially became High Care Cosmetics GmbH.
In the mid-1990s, the company headquarters moved to Gut Boisdorf, a historic estate near Düren. A veritable creative forge emerged there: this is where the Timeless care line based on mistletoe extracts and the revolutionary vacuum wave treatment (Vacustyler®) were born. In 1999, the medical technology and cosmetics divisions merged into a stock corporation – Weyergans High Care AG. Since then, we have stood for over 35 years of medical innovation, technical excellence and the entrepreneurial courage to always be one step ahead. At the traditional Gut Boisdorf site, around 40 employees today work on the development and manufacture of products that are valued worldwide. Our portfolio holds more than 30 patents and reaches people in over 40 countries. Despite this international resonance, we preserve our roots: with us, ideas are developed further and discussions are conducted as if at the regulars' table – just with more experience and ambition.
Today, Jan Weyergans, son of company founder Rudolf Weyergans, leads the company in its second generation. With the High Care Longevity Concept, he looks to the future, combining decades of tradition in innovative research with the growing needs of a health-conscious society.
An important milestone in this development: in 2025, Weyergans High Care AG was awarded the official research seal of the German certification body for research allowances (BSFZ). The company is thus officially one of the research-active enterprises in Germany. The award recognises the continuous development work in the areas of functional cosmetics, device-based body treatments and longevity-oriented concepts, in particular in cooperation with the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
""For me, longevity means creating more quality of life: through healthy, beautiful skin, holistic well-being and a future in which science and responsibility go hand in hand."
"“I don't believe in black magic, but in explainable causes and differentiated answers. It is precisely this holistic approach that High Care® has stood for over 35 years – for effectiveness, evidence and sustainability.”
